A magnificient View - 2009
A valley floor of rice paddy not to be missed. As you can see, this beautiful piece of landscape touched my heart; the lake, countryside and surrounding valley provide much inspiration to those in need. This is the place where Late Prof. Dr. HAMKA once stayed; his little home is right behind the Minangkabau House. I missed this part..But, next time, I hope to reach there..may be.
A Visit at Padang - 2009
There are times when you reach the places in your dreams before you even know, you're going to be facing the reality. It happened to me. I felt myself very fortunate to be able to visit Bukit Tinggi, the most laid-back and friendliest places you could ever visit in Sumatra. It's picturesque place and so cool in temperature makes a delightful experiences.
This place is blessed with gorgeous canyon, lined with organic agricultural activities; artful people, elevated padi fields, forest of spices!Beautiful surroundings!

A Trip to Bukit Tinggi/ Padang - Indonesia
It was an excellent idea; a thought of having a trip to Bukit Tinggi/ Padang. I've been to Jakarta, Surakarta, Solo, whatever located around Central Java. But this was my first trip to Sumatra. And I've ventured it first through Bukit Tinggi, the capital of Padang.Whatever it took, a trip to Bukit Tinggi was really remarkable and unforgettable experiences I had in life. I started my day with short exercises and full of anticipation whenever my group travellers began our journey travelling around the gorgeous mountains and valleys of West Sumatra. You do'nt see forest indeed but what I saw was trees of Spices like CINNAMON or'Kayu Manis, Chengkih, Basal leaves...Oh..too much to mention...not to forget the makasar fruit trees rise to the sky on practically every street...in the front yards, village parks; the avocado trees...and a lot more. Our destination hotel was THE HILLS...not bad to stay for two nights...a peaceful one indeed.
